Overview

The five-month Missions Trade School is designed to equip you with vital skills to use in overseas and community development ministry settings. It's a great opportunity to learn new skills that will help you anywhere in the mission field.

During the first three months we will teach you the basics of 45 different trades from electrical, small engine repair, and furniture building, to sheet rocking, painting, and brick laying. This classroom phase will include two hours a day of Bible study and devotions, with the rest of the time dedicated to hands-on learning of the various trades. Throughout this time you will practice your newly-learned skills by doing several community development work projects.

The practical application of the trades in a community development setting will continue in the two-month outreach phase. We will be working on several renovation and construction projects at one of YWAM Tyler’s satellite locations in Houston, Texas and in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Outreach phase airfare and grounds fees are in addition to the tuition cost.

Application fees:
$40 for singles and $50 for couples. Applications should be submitted at least one month prior to the school starting date.
